The deal
Socia is free while in beta. You bring your own social accounts, your content stays yours, and you can leave (and take a copy of your data) whenever you like.
Your side
Only connect accounts you're authorised to manage, follow the platforms' own rules, and review AI drafts before sending. You're responsible for what your team publishes.
Beta honesty
The service is provided as-is during beta: features can change, and we don't yet promise uptime. We'll always aim to warn you before anything disruptive.
AI credits
AI reply drafts run on prepaid credits, consumed per use. Credits aren't refundable or transferable except where the law says otherwise.
01 The agreement
These terms are a contract between you (and, where you use Socia for a business, that business) and Socia (“we”, “us”), operating socia.cx from the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the service you accept them; if you're accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you don't agree, don't use Socia.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and forms part of this agreement.
02 The service & beta status
Socia is a unified inbox for social-media comments: you connect Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok business accounts, and Socia syncs their posts and comments so your team can read, label, assign, and reply from one place, with AI-assisted drafting, sentiment analysis, and reporting.
Socia is currently in beta and free to use with every feature unlocked. During beta: features may be added, changed, or removed; usage limits may be introduced; and paid plans may launch later. If we introduce charges for something you actively use, we will give you reasonable notice. You'll never be silently moved onto a paid plan.
03 Accounts & organisations
- You sign in with Google and must keep that sign-in method secure.
- Each account belongs to an organisation. Owners and admins control membership, connected platforms, and billing, and can see and manage the shared inbox, so invite only people you trust with that access.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for your team members' use of the service.
- You must be at least 16 and using Socia for business purposes.
04 Connected platforms
- Only connect pages and accounts you own or are authorised to manage. Connecting an account directs Socia to access it on your behalf using the permissions you grant.
- Your use of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok through Socia must comply with those platforms' own terms and community standards. Replies you send through Socia are posts on those platforms, made by you.
- The platforms control their APIs: they can change limits, revoke access, or remove features, and parts of Socia depend on their availability. We're not responsible for platform-side outages, restrictions, or content decisions.
- You can disconnect any platform at any time in Settings.
05 AI features
- Drafts are suggestions. AI-generated replies can be wrong, inappropriate, or off-brand. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it, and you are responsible for everything sent from your connected accounts. Review drafts as your own words.
- Sentiment and labels are indicative. Automatic classification helps you triage; it is not guaranteed accurate and shouldn't be your only basis for decisions that matter.
- Don't use the AI features to generate unlawful, deceptive, or harassing content (see section 7).
06 Credits, plans & payment
- AI drafting runs on prepaid credits. Credits are consumed per draft based on actual usage, belong to your organisation, don't expire during the life of your account, and aren't transferable or redeemable for cash.
- Credit purchases are one-time payments processed by Stripe. Because credits are a digital service available immediately, purchases are non-refundable once made, except where consumer law gives you rights we can't exclude. If something went wrong with a purchase, contact us and we'll be reasonable.
- Prices for future purchases can change; a change never affects credits you already hold.
- If paid subscription plans launch after beta, their pricing and terms will be presented at the point of purchase.
07 Acceptable use
Don't use Socia to:
- break the law, or send content that is defamatory, deceptive, or harassing;
- send spam or bulk unsolicited replies;
- connect accounts you aren't authorised to manage, or access another organisation's data;
- probe, overload, or interfere with the service, or attempt to bypass its security or usage limits;
- scrape or harvest data about individuals beyond what the service presents for managing your own audience;
- resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
We may throttle or suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk (see section 10).
08 Your content & our IP
- Yours stays yours. You retain all rights to your content and your audience's content synced into Socia. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process, display, and transmit it, solely to operate the service for you.
- Ours stays ours. The Socia software, design, and brand are our intellectual property. Don't copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the service except where the law permits it.
- Feedback you send us can be used to improve Socia without obligation or attribution.
09 Third-party services
Socia depends on third parties: the social platforms, and our hosting, payment, and AI providers (listed in the Privacy Policy). Their services are governed by their own terms, and we don't control or warrant them.
10 Suspension & termination
- By you: stop using the service, disconnect your platforms, or email us to delete your account and data at any time.
- By us: we may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, create legal risk, or endanger the service, with notice and a chance to fix it where that's reasonable, and immediately where it isn't.
- On termination your access ends and we delete your organisation's data on request (and otherwise per the retention rules in the Privacy Policy). Sections that by their nature survive, including 8, 11, 12, 13 and 15, continue to apply.
11 Disclaimers
Socia is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that synced content is complete or current (platforms sometimes delay or withhold data). During beta this matters: keep your own records of anything business-critical.
12 Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data) arising from your use of the service;
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the greater of £100 and the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose;
- we are not liable for content your audience posts, decisions the platforms take about your accounts, or replies you or your team choose to send (AI-drafted or otherwise).
13 Indemnity
If you use Socia for a business, that business will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your replies, your breach of these terms, or your violation of a platform's terms, excluding anything caused by our own breach or negligence.
14 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll give notice in the product or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Socia after that means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
15 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers keep any mandatory protections and forum rights of their home country.
